This extravaganza involves a four-day staged reading of a highly-cut version of the War of the Roses sequence. This staged reading will take place on during the last week in September (Sept 27 - 30) on Severance Green, with the audience seated on Severance Hill. There is talk of swords, torches, audience participation, campus celebrities reading one-line parts, banners, music, and general good times. This extravaganza is being modeled after the 24 Hours of Shakespeare Marathon, and is intended to be a huge-fun-highly-publicized-community-outreach-event, not high art.
